SCIA’s Analysts Offer a Powerful Combination of Military Experience, Behavioral
/ Social Science Education, All-Source Analytic Skills, and Subject Matter Expertise
SCIA began
in 2005 as a small, veteran-owned business providing the counterterrorism
community with intelligence analysts specifically trained in “socio-cultural”
and “human terrain" research and analysis. As the success of our methods and
understanding of our products grew, the terms “socio-cultural” and “human
terrain” analysis have become institutionalized in the intelligence community.
While we are proud to have been among the founders of this niche within the
intelligence analytic community, we continue to break new ground with our
training program (most recently deploying to Kathmandu to partner with the Naval
Postgraduate School to train the Nepalese military).
Today, we
continue to focus on developing and improving our specialty: the fusion of
social sciences with Geographic Intelligence. Our
goal is to discover patterns of human behavior, which are necessary to
understand the foreign environments in which our military is increasingly called
upon to operate within. SCIA’s workforce is unique in its variety of skills and
expertise, which are constantly being enhanced thanks to its education and
training programs available to each and every employee.
